What exactly IS melamine?

Melamine resin (shortened to melamine) is a hard, thermosetting plastic material.

Is melamine food safe?

Yes!

Are they durable?

Yes! They are chip-resistant and virtually shatterproof.

Can these products go in the microwave or oven?

No. The FDA does not recommend melamine for the microwave or oven.

Does this melamine contain BPAs?

Relish is made of 100% melamine. NO “fillers”- NO BPAs (BPAs are industrial chemicals used as a “filler” in plastic products). There is a lot of melamine on the market with varying degrees of melamine concentration and other plastic (sometimes unknown) fillers. 100% melamine is the highest quality.

Can these products go in the dishwasher?

Yes!
